I am principal of a secondARY SCHOOL and i need to raise some money for our school and to kids in Poverty. It would be nice if you could help me help!

car washes and auctions or yard sales work for our schools

I am currently in year 10 and want to be a primary school teacher. Any website that I look on talks about QTS’s or something, which I don’t really understand. Could anybody simplify what I need to do for higher education to be a primary school teacher?

When you start university you can either:

Do a 4 year teaching degree and at the end you will have QTS.

OR

Do any degree and then complete a one year teaching course at the end of it. After you’ve done the teaching course you will have QTS.

(QTS just means Qualified Teacher Status- means you’re qualified to teach!)

I am middle school. I go to boarding school and I hate it. I want to see my parents every day. I want them to be with me constantly. I hate boarding school and it’s not allowing me to concentrate on anything else. I’ve been crying every day for three weeks now. I really hate boarding school. I want to be with my parents everyday.

The only way to get rid of hate is to try to understand. I’m sure your parents are trying to do what they think is best. Parents make mistakes. They aren’t perfect. Have you told them how you feel? Maybe they don’t realize that a "good" school isn’t as important to your present or future as being with you is. Parents are under so much pressure to focus on "success" and they don’t stop to think that success is on the inside and not on outwardly things. Or maybe there are other circumstances that make them think this will be good for you.

The school is trying to do what’s best for you, also. I know you don’t want to be there, but don’t do it for them, do it for you. Struggles make you stronger and you can get through this. Don’t focus on what you don’t have. Focus on what you do have. You have parents who love you and you have a good education if you will allow it. Many children do not have nearly as much.

Make friends if you haven’t. Write your feelings down because you shouldn’t keep them inside. Hang in there. It will get easier to deal with.

We all have problems-kids, teenagers, and adults. What types of issues (social and not) do elementary school aged kids have to face?

Bullying and changing. I remember when I was in elementry school (I had just moved to a new school/house, and my parents were getting a divorce) the girls used to tease me because I was fat. Thats when I developed my first eating disorder. People thought I was weird. Changes for puberty start to happen close to 4-5th grade, which can be akward and confusing. For the younger kids, its mainly bullying and finding friends.

I am writing a story and my main character, a girl plays ice hockey. I believe she lives in Minnesota, somewhere up north and that gets cold quick. I feel at her school ice hockey is the main sport and there could be a boys and girl team. Perhaps a high school that doesn’t offer football but ice hockey instead. If anyone knows of a school it would be very helpful.

Dodge County Wildcats are amazing at girls hockey and don’t have a football team

I’m going to a magnet high school and my mom assures me since it IS a magnet school it will be much different from a public high school. Is that true? I had a rather difficult time in middle school due to bullying. Is it going to be like that in my school?

if it is different from public school, your really lucky! Anyway i have no idea what a magnet school is like, but i do know that high school and middle are very different. You have so much more freedom and the people become more mature [even some of the guys] although some will never grow up. i think bullying will end for you if you are going to a magnet school since the kids probably are smart and beyond that kind of aimless cruelty. I think you will like it once you get used to it.

What percentage of public schools in the states have foreign language as part of their core curriculum? If you know the stats for elementary schools that would be even better, but just that stats for public schools in general would do.

My friend had asked me a favour to find her a documentary that was on about 2-3 years ago about private school kids in the uk who swapped places with kids from a state school in Wembley?
