Himalayan Elementary School in Melamchigau, Helambu, Nepal
High in the Nepali Himalaya is a unique experiment in education. In a country where millions of people live in small villages in the foothills of the tallest mountains on earth, poor schools and lack of economic opportunity mean that villages are often very depopulated. This school in Melamchigau under the leadership of Purna Gautum is a thriving, healthy, public boarding school that offers an education comparable only to private schools. Plum High School Pittsburgh Penguins Lipdub
On April 1, 2010 the Television Production students at Plum High School and a few of their friends made a lipdub tribute video about the Pittsburgh Penguins. Over 100 students came to school on Thursday night for the filming. It took approximately two hours to set up, and another hour to film. We have watched several lipdub videos on youtube, and not one of them has had a theme, which is why we went with the Pittsburgh Penguins theme. After debating about several songs to use, the students and I kept on coming back to “I Got a Feelin” by the Black Eyed Peas(which we give credit to them for writing and singing a spectacular song) which was done spectacularly by the students from the University of Quebec in Montreal. Hopefully you will like ours and go Pens!

Sorry it took me so long to put this up & that there’s so many parts.(Only the special people on youtube can upload more than 10 minutes) But anyway, this was a special request for the movie Private School that aired on TV back sometime in the early 90’s. It may contain some deleted/alternate versions that are not available on the theatrical release. To be honest, I have only seen this TV version, so there are scenes in the movie that do not make sense to me.
