  1. the thing is, some …
the thing is, some veggies, like cereal, bread, pasta, are loaded with carbs and carbs make us age terribly. that’s why vegetarians/vegans all have terrible skin complexion. personally i think a diet focused on raw fat, with sufficient amount of protein and very light on the carbs is ideal. but that’s just me.

A former Huntintonian living in the Med eating the typical Med diet. I was born and raised in the Cabell County school system from ‘65-’77 and never ate the crap that they’re serving nowadays.
Jamie, I’m truly sorry you got soo much resistance from my hometown. As an “outsider” looking in it’s hard to not try to make s…tubborn people, set in their ways, to change habits. Poor Alice…

    Throw them all away!
If you wanna keep them, go ahead. But those kids are young. If they eat all that, Sorry, you wont live for long. You may get diabetes(I have no idea how you spell).
DO NOT EAT SO MUCH JUNK FOOD EVEN IF YOU LOVE IT OR IT COST A LOT AND YOU BOUGHT IT ALREADY, JUST THROW IT AWAY. *Would you rather die early, or screw that food and stay healthy??*

  6. ayt, i totally …
ayt, i totally agree with Jaime Oliver’s idea of tryin to change how America eats and try to make us healthier. but does he really have to dump all that food away like that? that’s a shitload of food, even if it’s 50% crap, to throw away so wastefully.

  7. Lets face reality, …
Lets face reality, we all need to eat better with less processed foods. Jamie is making people wake up to what we are really doing to ourselves and our children. As far as overweight people are concerned, we should not judge them; they need help. Putting them down is not helping. Keep in mind that many that are over weight are that way because of medical problems beyond their control. Could be a thyroid disease or caused by medication they take for something else.

    Its EASY for people …
Its EASY for people to point fingers and say “fat people are a disgrace”. If you grow up with a certain eating lifestyle- you wont realize exactly how ingrained it is and habits are the hardest to break. This is what people don’t understand. Thin people can have terrible diets and they might be thin, but they can be unhealthy too.

    @KevinBusomjack ” …
@KevinBusomjack “fat people are a disgrace” – you have to be careful when you make a blanket statement like that. Clearly you are concerned about obesity (a good thing) but your emotion is misplaced. People don’t choose to be fat, they choose to follow comfortable habits. We have to ask why those habits are so deeply rooted and then change them.

    They’re not going …
They’re not going to change. You heard the reaction from the adults in the community. They were downright hostile to Jamie Oliver. Anything that threatens their pre-conceived notions that they can be fat and lazy without facing consequences must be fought!
They claim to want to be left alone but it is everyone else who has to foot the bill for the stupidity. I think they should be denied all public healthcare programs and social security(if they even live that long)

    Fat people are a …
Fat people are a disgrace. Anyone who treats their own body like that doesn’t even deserve to have their fat bailed out when they develop health complications.

You chose to desecrate your own body, you deserve to die.

    Just like mattleroi …
Just like mattleroi commented above, these surveys don’t work. I would also like to point out that the full episodes can be watched by Americans on ABC website. I, for example, an American living overseas in Germany, and am unable to watch episodes on the ABC website because of whatever annoying International Agreements, therefore someone putting full episodes in segments on YouTube is most appreciated.
