Allen Iverson Playing High School Football

Not everybody knows that Iverson, actually, was a BETTER football player than he was a basketball player in High School. He was better than Mike Vick AND Aaron Brooks in High School. Had it not been for that bowling alley incident, Iverson may have ended up in the NFL. Maybe even at QB.

Just think he led his team to championships in football and basketball his JR YEAR!!! He never even got a chance to play a senior year.

He would have been a pro bowler if he stayed heathy…He would have been a nasty WR/PR or a DB…..Worl class athlete

  6. actually, the hood …
actually, the hood thought he would play football before bball. when bethel won the state he got interviewed on the field and told the guy that he was going to turn around and win state in bball-AND HE DID. i remember when me and my pops gave him a ride home from practice (back in the Bulls Starter jacket days) and he was talkin wanting to stop playing. my pops told him “chuck, you cant stop playin sports, cuz thats your ticket outta here. and lil kids gonna look up to bubbachuck.”

  7. i played on the …
i played on the same practice field wit Chuck back in the late 80s (aberdeen raiders) and i will tell you all this. chuck is the best highschool athelete i have ever seen. i witness the guy damage high school players when he was 12, playing flanker, tailback, safety, and returns on special teams. he won MVP in that game alone, and that was in 1988. and Bubba would lay the wood like ronnie lott if you ran threw his zone – that is if he did not pick it off.

size only means something when two players have the same amount of skill… but other then that i agree with you 100%

  14. becuz wat position …
becuz wat position would he play? In the NFL the best of the best play and i dont get ur comparsion of antonio gates to iverson. He could maybe play WR but he would have to put on another “atleast” 50 pounds. the smallest player in the nfl weighs 180 pounds. Allen iverson weighs 165. So therefore i dont kno wat position he would play

Ive remember them all and played against many of them in High School
