What are the statistics of a High School student actually returning to school?

A lot of people have been telling me that if i wait a year before going to college after high school the chances of me actually going back to school are slim. I was wondering what the actual % is for high school students that do that and actually go back to school after taking the year off?

I haven’t seen any statistics on that. If you’re sure you want to go back, the best way to do it is to go through and apply to colleges, get accepted somewhere, and then defer admission for a year. That way it’s all set up for you, so it’s not a huge pain while you’re working or doing whatever in your year off. The longer you wait, the more work it is.
