What high school subjects do I need to be proficient at in preparation for flight school?
I’m planning to take up aviation once I graduate high school. So can anyone give me the FULL list of high school subjects (giving emphasis to fields of mathematics) that I need to be proficient at so I’ll be well equipped when I join flight school?
Thanks for the help!
You could actually be taking flight lessons during high school and that will put you a step ahead. If you figure out a school you want to get your degree from, then look at the requirements to get into that program. You’ll find your answer there.
i doubt there are any really, i suppose (and these would be the classe that you would be taking from my school) small engines would be very helpful, basic electronics class would be nice, algebra or geometry will get you by, now if your going into something like advanced aeronautics, thats alot more heavy on the math and physics
if your flying the plane, flightschool is where you start, theres nothing before

Consider brushing up on those math and science courses, particularly physics, geometry, and calculus. In addition, having good communication skills is a must, so make sure you know how to read and write very well.
