  1. You are correct. If …
You are correct. If parents don’t preach the importance of education, the child will fail. I’ve attended every single meeting and never missed a single program my daughter has been in. However, I am lucky to own several businesses and can take time off whenever I want. Not everyone has this luxury in today’s economy.

  2. That is true of a …
That is true of a small percentage of parents (the baby sitting comment). Kids come home from spending 7 to 8 hours in school and then have anywhere from 3 to 4 hours of homework. I experienced this when I was in school (a long time ago). Teachers are paid to teach. If kids are failing, they’re just as responsible.

  3. NCMan.The parents …
NCMan.The parents of the kids in honors work too. The majority of them in professional positions. Why can they make conferences 100% of the time compared to 30% for the rest of the classes? Could it be a matter of priority? Successful people breed and raise successful children.

  4. NCMan. Parent …
NCMan. Parent teacher conferences and PTA meetings are two entirely different things. My kids did well in public school and in college. One has a BA and the other an MA. You ask, “Do you send your work home and expect others to do it?” What type of preposterous statement is that? Teachers send work home and expect it to be done. Too many parents refuse to get off their and make sure their kids are holding up their end. They look at school as a baby sitting service.

  5. Just call it what …
Just call it what we all know is the reason for our terrible education system. It’s the liberal education system that is ‘dumbing down” our children. Since the 1960, Teachers and their unions, have changed education. Before this takeover, our kids ranked #1 and #2 in Math and Science. Now we can’t even crack into the top 20.
Besides reading and math comprehension, these teachers are teaching revisionist history to push a political agenda. This is well documented and I hope you post more videos

  6. Teachers are paid …
Teachers are paid to teach. Most parents have to work in order to support their families and simply cannot take the time to attend another PTA meeting. Do you send your work home and expect others to do it? This is what teachers (and their unions) do. If kids are failing, teachers should figure out why and help the kids understand the lesson plan.

I’m not saying parents shouldn’t get any blame. They should be involved with their childs education. The liberal education system is a failure.

    In Austin Texas if …
In Austin Texas if the grades are below standards they close the school. I guess they built the school on ground that was not conducive to learning.

    There is no mention …
There is no mention in this video of teachers! I never discuss teachers or blame them for anything. In my view, teachers are as much victims as students and parents are.
The video speaks of “schools” and that’s shorthand for “Education Establishment,” “elite educators,” “the collectivists at Teachers College,” etc. The people who design and control the schools are the bad actors in this piece. In order to escape blame, these people are geniuses at inventing excuses.

  9. My wife teaches in …
My wife teaches in the public school system and has for 20 years. She will be the first to tell you that there are teachers that phone it in and programs that don’t work. But, here is another fact. She just had conferences. The parent participation was UNDER 30% in her regular classes and 100% in her honors classes. Total blame of schools and teachers for our educational shortcomings is preposterous!

I have no idea what …
I have no idea what this means. I know nothing about the illuminati. Are you saying the Illuminati, like me, favor good schools? What’s so bad?

  11. did the illuminati …
did the illuminati force you to post this video?
cause that is what it seems like…
