What do I need to do to be a spanish teacher in a secondary school?

I am Puerto Rican. What do I need to study and what test do I need to take to be a Spanish teacher in a Secondary public school in the United States?

Do I need a BA in "Secondary Education in Spanish" or a MA?

Please, help me.

I’ve known Spanish teachers that didn’t even have degrees. In general you need a teaching credential. To get a teaching credential you need an undergrad degree.

Why don’t you start with tutoring Spanish to get some experience. You can also contact schools since they might be in need of assistants.
