I want to become a secondary school teacher when im older, but not sure what qualifications I need.
The subjects im quite interested in teaching are :

Child Development
Dance
History
Religious Education

Would be helpful to have an answer for each subject as im not sure which i want to do.

Im in year 10 btw :)

Each state sets requirements for being a teacher. It usually requires four to five years in a university. It includes learning about your major subject and also your minor subject. The major requires more classes. You also take classes on how to teach as well as do practice teaching in a real class under the supervision of other teachers. You choose which classes you want for your major and minor. You should be seeing your school councilor at school.

Go to your state’s education agency website (example: Texas Education Agency) and find the requirements for becoming a teacher in your state. You may also go to the University (of your choice) website and find what classes they require in order for you to earn your b.s. in education and obtain a teaching certification.
